The Association, which is incorporated under the Association Incorporation Act 1981, came into existence on 4th October 1996.

Management committee

This committee is charged with the general management of the association in accordance with the rules and by-laws approved for the purpose of the incorporation. Management Committee meetings are held monthly on the third Tuesday. The present Committee comprises:

Workshops - Demonstrations

Training sessions for members are held regularly during the year in all aspects of woodworking. Volunteers are called to help on Craft Fair open day, the fourth Sunday of each month 8.30 a.m.-12.30 p.m., and demonstrations with other Arts and Craft Fair from time to time.

Meetings

Are held on the second and fourth Tuesday each month, 9.00 a.m.-Noon

Socials and functions

Are regularly organised where club members and family can meet for barbecues, dinners and outings to other woodworking groups and woodworking shows.

Club goals

To foster and promote an active interest in all matters relating to the history, development and artistic expertise of working in wood with interested citizens within the Bribie District. To raise funds for club activities and for the improvement of the association. Where agreed, raise funds for charitable organisations, research, and community projects, which will further the standing of the association in the community.

Exhibition and competition

Each year the Bribie and District Woodcrafters hold its Annual Competition and Exhibition in the Matthew Flinders Gallery. The date for our 2010 Competition and Exhibition will be published soon

Craft Markets

Normally held every 4th Sunday of each month on site at the Community Arts Centre, Sunderland Drive from 8:30am to 12:30pm although our December market this year will be held on December 19th.
