  Bribie and District Woodcrafters Association Inc.

The Association, which is incorporated under the Association Incorporation Act 1981, came into existence on 4th October 1996.

Management committee

This committee is charged with the general management of the association in accordance with the rules and by-laws approved for the purpose of the incorporation. Management Committee meetings are held monthly on the third Tuesday. The present Committee comprises:

Workshops - Demonstrations

Training sessions for members are held regularly during the year in all aspects of woodworking. Volunteers are called to help on Craft Fair open day, the last Sunday of each month 7.30 a.m. - 12 noon., and demonstrations with other Arts and Craft Fair from time to time.

Membership fees for 2012 are:

Adult 18 yrs plus (per annum) $40.00
Junior 12 - 17 yrs (per annum) $12.00
Associate (per annum) $10.00

Joining Fee (incl. name badge) $10.00
Adult 18 yrs plus (pro-rata at $3.50/month) $40.00
Junior 12 - 17 yrs (pro-rata at $1/month) $12.00
Associate (no pro-rata) $10.00

Meetings in 2012

Are held on the fourth Tuesday each month, 9.00 a.m.-Noon.  Next Information meeting is on 24 January 2012

Socials and functions

Are regularly organised where club members and family can meet for barbecues, dinners and outings to other woodworking groups and woodworking shows.

Club goals

To foster and promote an active interest in all matters relating to the history, development and artistic expertise of working in wood with interested citizens within the Bribie District. To raise funds for club activities and for the improvement of the association. Where agreed, raise funds for charitable organisations, research, and community projects, which will further the standing of the association in the community.

Exhibition and competition

Each year the Bribie and District Woodcrafters hold its Annual Competition and Exhibition in the Matthew Flinders Gallery. 

Craft Markets

Normally held last Sunday of each month on site at the Community Arts Centre, Sunderland Drive from 7:30am to 12 noon.  Next Craft Market is on 29 January 2012.
