The Association, which is incorporated under the Association Incorporation Act 1981, came into existence on 4th October 1996.

Management committee

This committee is charged with the general management of the association in accordance with the rules and by-laws approved for the purpose of the incorporation. Management Committee meetings are held monthly on the third Tuesday. The present Committee comprises:

Workshops - Demonstrations

Training sessions for members are held regularly during the year in all aspects of woodworking. Volunteers are called to help on Craft Fair open day, the last Sunday of each month 7.30 a.m. - 12 noon., and with demonstrations at the Arts and Craft Fair from time to time.

Meetings in 2012

Formal General meeting followed by Social/Information meeting is held in the clubhouse on the fourth Tuesday each month, 9.00 a.m.- 12 noon.

Socials and functions

Are regularly organised where club members and family can meet for barbecues, dinners and outings to other woodworking groups and woodworking shows.

Club goals

To foster and promote an active interest in all matters relating to the history, development and artistic expertise of working in wood with interested citizens within the Bribie District. To raise funds for club activities and for the improvement of the Association. Where agreed, raise funds for charitable organisations, research, and community projects, which will further the standing of the Association in the community.

Competition and Exhibition

Each year the Bribie and District Woodcrafters hold its Annual Competition and Exhibition in the Matthew Flinders Gallery. Our last Competition and Exhibition was held from Sunday 9 October to Sunday 23 October 2011.

Arts Center Markets

These are normally held on the last Sunday of each month on site at the Community Arts Center, Sunderland Drive from 7:30am to 12 noon.
